In cooperation with municipal authorities and local NGOs the project has developed an approach to explore natural and cultural landscape using experiential and multi-sensory methods. Objectives: How can one learn to feel part of a new society, belong to a new place and feel motivation to take responsibility for one’s own future? The LINC project has attempted to address this through incorporating outdoor learning in newly arrived immigrant’s integration process. There are many indications that the lack of integration causes social problems and high costs for both the individual and society. Many immigrants exist in a passive state with an uncertain future and numerous challenges. Introduction: Grappling with a new culture, language, environment and place is demanding.
